Nappy Changing Guide

Changing Nappy Pants:
Wriggling, Rolling and Crawling Babies

Let's do this together!

1. Prepare a new nappy

Check
that you have this mark at the front.

You will see the blue disposal tape at the back.

2. Remove the soiled Nappy Pants.

To remove the Nappy Pants, either pull it down or tear open the sides.

3. Wipe the bottom clean.

Baby's skin is still very delicate, so make your baby's bottom area is thoroughly wiped.

4. Put on a new nappy.

When your baby is lying on his back

Put your hands through the leg holes and pass through one leg at a time.

Pull the nappy up to above your baby's navel. Nappy Pants are easy to put on even if your baby flips while changing.

You can also get your baby to hold on to you while you pull the nappy up.

When your baby is standing

While your baby is leaning onto something, pass one leg at a time through the nappy's leg holes and then pull the nappy up to tummy height.

When your baby has pooed, you can also change baby out of a Nappy Pants into a Nappy.
How to change baby out of a Nappy Pants into a Nappy.

Before taking off the soiled Nappy Pants, lie your baby down and layout a Nappy under your baby's bottom.

Tear the sides of the Nappy Pants and open out the nappy. Clean your baby's bottom, then remove the soiled Nappy Pants and fasten it up with the tape.

An easy way to change your baby's nappy without having to worry about a poo-stained bottom!

5. Adjust the leg gathers.

Use your fingers to adjust the inner gathers evenly around the thighs, so as to prevent leakage.

One last check for boys!

  • Is baby's penis pointing downwards?
  • Is it placing between the gathers around the thighs?

If the penis is pointing upwards or sitting on top of the gathers, the pee will leak straight out. Do a final check before you finish the nappy change that baby's penis is safely inside the gathers and pointing downwards.

Disposing used nappies

Flush any poo from the soiled nappy down the toilet. Dispose the soiled nappy by rolling it up as tightly as possible and seal firmly with the tape on the back before throwing it away.
